                                    1. Project Leader of Big Data Analytics Technology Development Program (2015-2018): Promoted the development of application industries using innovative machine learning and big data technologies. As early as 2013, Dr. Yu recognized the importance of big data to industry and established the CITC at ITRI, serving as its inaugural director. This was the first R&D center in Taiwan focused on big data processing and analysis, dedicated to building Taiwan%u2019s big data analytics capabilities. Dr. Yu%u2019s efforts helped companies establish big data application technologies and created successful cases, which were then disseminated to other industries, accelerating Taiwan%u2019s industrial digitization. Under Dr. Yu%u2019s leadership, the big data research team achieved remarkable results in both technological innovation and industrial promotion. As a result, the project was recognized by DoIT for three consecutive years, receiving the %u201cTechnology Achievement Award%u201d (2017), %u201cOutstanding Project Award%u201d (2018), and %u201cIndustrial Innovation Value Award%u201d (2019). Additionally, the team won two R&D 100 Awards.2. Project Leader of AI Technology Development Program (2018-2020) In 2013, Dr. Yu foresaw the resurgence of AI and formed a team to conduct research. In 2015, he proposed three key strategies: %u201cAI-ization of Industries,%u201d %u201cAI Industrialization,%u201d and %u201cAI Democratization.%u201d These strategies gradually gained adoption by both the government and industries after multiple presentations and were incorporated into government policies. In 2018, he established the AI Application Strategy Office at ITRI, coordinating all AI-related work across the institute, with a focus on developing AI solutions for vertical industries, thereby facilitating Taiwan%u2019s industrial digital transformation and enhancing its value. - AI-ization of Industries: Prioritized key markets such as manufacturing, healthcare, and services, working closely with industry leaders to tailor AI technologies that would most benefit Taiwan, gradually expanding to other application fields to achieve industrial implementation. - AI Industrialization: In the process of AI-izing industries, Dr. Yu%u2019s team gradually developed core AI technologies suited to Taiwan%u2019s key industries and data characteristics, promoting AI software as a value-added component of hardware, thus creating Taiwan%u2019s AI industry ecosystem. - AI Democratization: Extended the benefits of AI from large enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and eventually to the general public, allowing more people to benefit from AI.As the principal investigator of the %u201cAI Industry Key Technologies Program,%u201d Dr. Yu achieved significant results in both technological innovation and industry promotion. This project earned numerous accolades from DoIT, including the %u201cOutstanding Project Award%u201d (2019 and 2020), %u201cTechnology Achievement Award%u201d (2019), and the %u201cContribution to Science and Technology Award%u201d (2019).As a dedicated member of ITRI, committed to using technological R&D to advance Taiwan%u2019s industries, Dr. Yu consistently embodies a spirit of altruism. He frequently shares his insights through media publications and actively participates in public associations, schools, and industry forums. Over the past decade, he has delivered more than 100 speeches on topics related to big data and AI.Future Prospects of ResearchIn the past decade, major breakthroughs in information technology have concentrated on the development of big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). When properly utilized, these technologies have the potential not only %u7b2c%u4e09%u5341%u4e00%u5c46%u6771%u5143%u734e%uff0e%u79d1%u6280%u985e%u734e%u96fb%u6a5f / %u8cc7%u8a0a / %u901a%u8a0a%u79d1%u6280
